Rafael Pichardo has worked for more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry, from the beginning he developed and integrated various technologies for pay television companies and telcos, to meet the needs of the market, creating solutions for video and internet platforms. During the last 13 years he has worked with Wind Telecom, where he implemented the first service in Multichannel Multipoint Distribution System (MMDS) technology for Digital Television in the Dominican Republic, integrating compression systems, conditional access and digital insertion of programs, meeting its own challenges of the wireless architecture and converging, in the electric radio spectrum, the television services over MMDS with those of the Internet over WiMAX, which were later migrated to LTE. Since 2019, Rafael has managed the development of the WindTVO platform, on which both the Linear and canned (VoD) television service is offered, it has been developed In-House, integrating state-of-the-art streaming technologies for content distribution over the internet, guaranteeing its availability and stability, this makes the offer differentiated in content and in the means of accessing the service, making it available on any Android or iOS device, both Mobile and Residential.
