Guillermo Sierra is the Head of TV and Digital services at HITN, the largest non-commercial Spanish language TV station in the US, available in over 35 MM HH’s nationwide; he oversees the national and international operations of HITN’s products and services. Responsible for content, operation, distribution, and revenue generation initiatives for HITN and hitn.tv, as well as HITNGO, the channel’s digital arm, Guillermo is fully dedicated to HITN’s mission of educating and entertaining audiences. In addition to the well-received non-commercial channel, Guillermo is the architect behind the incredibly successful streaming service, Edye. Edye is the nation’s first premium preschool SVOD service in Spanish. Available in both the United States and Latin America, Edye reaches over 2 million subscribers. Providing parents with a space for their children to access safe and smart entertainment, Edye offers a mix of carefully curated content from the most important preschool programming producers from around the globe. With extensive expertise in Healthcare, Guillermo also continues to advance HITN’s Health & Wellbeing brand, Vida y Salud. Alongside the renowned Dr. Aliza Lifshitz, Vida y Salud’s Editorial Director, the brand has grown to become a global health service platform helping Hispanic families navigate their health journey. Most recently, HITN-TV was recognized, with co-producers South Florida PBS and the Associated Press, as a winner of the Academy of Television Art and Sciences — 2021 Sharecare Awards— for the documentary Fauci: The Virus Hunter. In previous roles, Guillermo has developed and launched free and pay TV channels, and SVOD/OTTs for the Hispanic market segment in multiple territories across the United States, Europe, and Latin America. He was the General Manager for BBC Worldwide Channels in LatAm and the US Hispanic Market and has had an extensive career working for brands such as Discovery, Animal Planet, Vme, MovieCity, Cinecanal, Televisa, Canal Once and others. Guillermo Sierra has been a judge for the International Emmy Awards and was named one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in media in the United States.
